Science Question

Your task for this assignment is to do the following:

1. Choose one of the following topics (see below for a more complete understanding of each
topic):
A. Transportation
B. Population Dynamics
C. Natural Disasters
D. Ecological Disasters
2. Compose a 3-5 page paper:
A. Answer the questions provided for your topic of interest (see below).
B. Provide a separate Figures section at the end of the paper with at least
three figures.
C. Cite your sources in a separate “References” section using
either APA, MLA, or GSA format.
D. Utilize at least 3 of the resources provided for your topic (see below).
E. Utilize 3 more outside resources using CSUNOnesearch.

For the figure page, you can use any photographs, charts, graphs, (etc.) that you deem relevant
to your paper. These figures should be on their own separate page at the end of the document,
and must be referenced within your paper – for example, if you had a sentence about how co2
levels have risen over the last 100 years, that could be a good place to reference a figure of a
graph depicting this trend from a reputable website or peer-reviewed article. You should label
the figures in order of when they are referenced – so the first figure that you mention will be
Figure 1, the second Figure 2, and so on. You can reference them in your paper by using
parenthesis – for example:
“Atmospheric levels of carbon dioxide have increased over the last 100 years (Figure 1).”
Within your actual figure page, each figure should have a short figure caption that describes the
picture and includes the source of where you obtained the figure.
Your final paper submission will be 3-5 pages long. It will be double-spaced , with 1″ margins,
font set to 12 point (preferably Times New Roman or something similar). The Figures section
and References section will not be considered part of the 3-5 pages. The quality of the writing
will be considered as part of the rubric. Submissions are due 5/19/2022 at 11:59 PM in Canvas.

1. Transportation (spaceflight/EVs/Gas-
powered vehicles/rail (trains))

How are the modes of transportation we use affecting our climate?
What are the different sectors of transportation affected by climate change?
How is climate change affecting our modes of transportation?
What are some potential mitigation measures that may be implemented to counteract
the effects of climate change?
