Speaker Summary of 1000 words. Due 19th May at 4 pm.

BELOW IS THE RUBRIC FOR THE ASSIGNMENT:

In part A you should provide a short summary of the guest speaker’s presentation/talk. What did they talk about? What were the most important points? Remember that a summary is not a rewrite of the whole presentation/talk but a short summary of the talk. You should not be reflecting in this section.
Start with a short summary of presentation. What was talked about? What were the key points? (This should not be a detailed regurgitation of the whole talk but rather a brief summary of what you heard). Following the summary, offer a more detailed reflection on the presentation. The discussion starters below may help you to think about the presentation if you feel you do not know where to start. If you already feel you know what you want to say, please go ahead, and do not feel constrained by the suggestions below:

1. What surprised you in the presentation? Why?
2. Do you think about this issue differently? Why
3. What did the speaker make you think about that you had not thought of before?
4. Did what was shared help you understand the topic of Human Rights?
5. If you could speak further with the presenter, what would you ask/want to say?
