1) Outline

For this assignment, you will outline your idea for Option 1 of Major Project 2. The instructions for Option 1 of this assignment are as follows:

You will analyze one element of one text from our syllabus. Elements refer to character, plot, theme, symbol, language, etc. The analysis will take the form of an informal paper. By informal, I mean a paper that does not strictly adhere to the conventions of academic papers, i.e. – you do not need to have research questions, or a thesis, or citations (just page numbers is fine) and a bibliography. However, you should plan on referencing the text by quoting passages; this is because you will need to present evidence to be able to analyze effectively. Your paper should be 5-7 pages in length, written in Times New Roman 12 pt font, and double-spaced.

2)You will write an informal 5-7- page paper on one aspect (theme, plot, character, language, etc.) of any text that appears in our syllabus. You are free to comment on it, analyze it, research it further, give your own opinions/interpretations on it, as you see fit. You must demonstrate that you are thinking critically about the text. You do not need to include a bibliography.
